Miller wins an extraordinary 80.85% of the vote in a 3-way race
Today, Kathy Miller’s campaign for Assembly announced that she won the support of the California Democratic Party at its Pre-endorsement meeting over the weekend.
“I am so grateful to all of the delegates who cast their vote for me this weekend”, said Miller. Miller continued, “It is an honor to earn this endorsement and I was particularly gratified to win so overwhelmingly, with 80.85% of the vote. I knew going in that we needed 70% to secure the endorsement and that’s a really high bar, so reaching just over 80% was gratifying and validated the personal connections we made and all our hard work. Delegates from all across the district, from Stockton to Tracy came out to support my candidacy. I’m looking forward to working with everyone to win this race in March”.
Kathy Miller is running to work on solutions to our most serious challenges, from kids getting a good education to economic opportunity, addressing housing affordability and homelessness, access to affordable healthcare and stopping climate change.
The California Democratic Party joins a growing list of local leaders and community members who have thrown their early, unequivocal support behind Kathy Miller for Assembly, including Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte, Assemblywoman Susan Eggman, Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs and others.
