Following Governor Gavin Newsom’s signing of the 2019-20 State Budget, Assembly candidate Kathy Miller applauded the $2 million in funding set aside to explore the construction of a new California State University campus in San Joaquin County:
“Improving access to quality education, including higher education, is critical to ensuring our region has a workforce that is ready to compete for the jobs of tomorrow. Stockton is the only city of its size in California without a major public university, and I applaud the $2 million investment into studying the viability of a CSU campus in our region. I look forward to continuing to work with a coalition of local education leaders, our business community and others in ensuring we make a CSU campus in Stockton a fully funded reality.”
Kathy Miller is running for Assembly in District 13 to succeed Susan Eggman who is running for State Senate. Miller currently serves as a San Joaquin County Supervisor.
