Kathy Miller’s campaign announced today that the California School Employees Association has endorsed Miller for State Assembly District 13.
“Kathy Miller is the clear choice for ensuring our students have what they need to succeed,” said CSEA Association President Ben Valdepeña. “With so many unknowns in the wake of our current public health crisis, Kathy will be a tireless champion for California’s working families and students. CSEA is proud to stand with Kathy Miller in her campaign for State Assembly.”
CSEA represents more than 250,000 workers who do the essential work that keeps our schools and community colleges up and running. From the time students board a school bus to the time they head home at the end of the day, every aspect of their educational experience is impacted by a classified school employee. From the classroom to the playground, the school cafeteria to the college financial aid office – classified employees make a difference in the daily lives of students.
“I am honored to receive CSEA’s support,” said Kathy Miller. “CSEA and I share a commitment to ensuring student success and in the State Assembly, I will work to make funding for education a top priority. I am looking forward to continuing to work with CSEA and others so that our students and families can thrive.”
CSEA joins several leaders and organizations supporting Kathy Miller for State Assembly, including the California Democratic Party, Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte, Assemblywoman Susan Eggman, Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs, and others.
The general election will be held on November 3, 2020.
